FAQ/Fees/Insurance

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist.  My license number is LMFT 53029.

Getting Started

Please call for an appointment or make an appointment to speak with me through my Contact Me page. I offer a free 15 minute consultation through phone or video conferencing to see if we would be a good fit.

Fees

Fees are $150 per 53 minute session.

I do not have a sliding scale available for new patients.  If you are experiencing financial difficulties, I recommend OpenPathCollective.orgJewish Family and Children’s Services of West Orange County, or Harbor Area Counseling Services (San Pedro).    There are many other fine organizations out there, as well, these are just ones that I have I have worked with personally

I accept cash, checks, and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) for payment.

Insurance

I accept the following insurance:

  • Kaiser
  • HealthNet
  • MHN

I will call and confirm that I am in network with your insurance prior to our first meeting.  If I do not accept your insurance,  your PPO insurance carrier or employee benefit plan may pay in full or in part for out-of-network providers.  Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my deductible and has it been met?
  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

I am happy to provide a monthly receipt which you can submit to your insurer or to your Healthcare Reimbursement Account (HRA).

Appointments, Rescheduling and Cancelations

Sessions are typically scheduled to occur one time per week at the same time and day if possible.  Your consistent attendance greatly contributes to a successful outcome.  Please reschedule or cancel an appointment at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not provide at least 24 hour notice in advance, you will be responsible for payment for the missed session. This will not be covered by insurance, and is your responsibility.

Intake paperwork is available on this website for your information. Most clients will be filling out this virtually through my secure client portal. Let’s talk before you download this and fill it out!
